"Everything was great!!
The location was perfect and the staff were great. The food was also very delicious, especially the fries!! Highly recommended!
There are no amenities, so you have to prepare those yourself. There is no hair dryer either.
But the room was clean. There is no air conditioning, but the fan is cool enough so it's not a problem.

"I really enjoyed my three nights day at A touch of Pink secret garden. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and well decorated. The swimming pool had a very nice lounge area with barbecue facilities.
I ate all of my meals at the secret garden and everything was very good. The service was amazing, they were very helpful and delivered my meals to my room when i asked.
The owner was very kind and communicated well on what's app I think the Touch of Pink Secret Garden is a very special place and i look for to coming back."

"My husband and I stayed in one of the little huts with our own deck. It was so nice to relax in the hammock. Everything was clean and the staff were very quick to help if you needed something. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The food was delicious and they were able to make vegan for me. We walked down to the beach and back which I enjoyed because it was good exercise. The walk to the beach can be steep at times so wouldn't be good for someone with mobility issues. We loved it here and would definitely go back and recommend it to our friends. "

"The reception staff were magnificent especially Athena. A beautiful swimming pool which could have been cleaner. It was a bit dated but the restaurant let it down with a poor choice at breakfast and a limited evening menu. The room was fine. The hotel needed an injection of life and care."

"The experience over all was amazing. We truly enjoyed our time in this hotel. The staff were very accommodating (they did need to switch us rooms though cause the first one had an AC with a bad smell) but without hassle they changed us and everything was fine. I think if the ac doesn’t run for a while they can do that. The pool was absolutely great, we spent most days in the pool at least once. I did wish it had a bit of shaded area over the pool itself but the water temperature was just right and so relaxing. The breakfast had a lot of choices and was very delicious. We had some lunches and dinners there too which were all great as well. There is a very cool 360 roof bar with a happy hour, though it was disappointing that the front desk info said it included cocktails and beer for happy hour but we were told beer only for happy hour prices when we went up there. The location and the views are just stunning from wherever you look and it’s truly peaceful. It is a bit far away so you would want a motorbike or car rental, which we did have so it wasn’t a problem for us. It was one of the most relaxing stays we had in the Philippines and we would definitely go back! :)"

"Very cozy, new, clean hotel! It would be more correct to say a guest house - the owner lives nearby, in his own house. Accordingly, you receive family care!!! If you wish, they will prepare delicious, home-made food for you. Personally, this is where I tried several traditional Filipino dishes for the first time - delicious! In general, only positive impressions! The main road is 700 meters away, in principle not a problem at all. By the way, you can book different tours directly from the hotel. Definitely recommend!!!"

"Had a great experience in Astoria. Was welcomed by their friendly and helpful staff. Everyone greets you with a smile and everyone is willing to help may it be with queries or directions and even with taking your great photos in the resort. The rooms were clean, and homey. Rooms are equipped with microwaves and table wares for when you order room service. The resort has great amenities and you will not get bored with activities you can do during your stay. Their breakfast buffet is something we look forward to every morning. They serve delicious and freshly cooked food. They have fast and reliable WiFi for those who work on the go. It was a stay I would remember and recommend all the time."

The cleanliness of the hotel was good, although I did notice that the chairs in our room could use a vacuum, as they had some dark stains. KKenDucsWe recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I must say it was one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced in Palawan. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to access local attractions. However, there was some noise from a nearby bar late at night. It wasn't too distracting for me, especially on the higher floors, so I recommend requesting one of those if you’re sensitive to sound.
The hotel itself is well-maintained, likely due to its recent renovations. The elevator, though small, was smooth and always clean, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The bathroom was a highlight—very clean and comfortable, although I did find the water heater a bit challenging to adjust.
Each room features a smart lock and a smart TV with Netflix and other apps, which is a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was reliable, even on the highest floor, allowing for seamless browsing.
One area for improvement would be the bedding. While the mattress and pillows were decent, a thicker comforter would enhance the sleeping experience, as the provided blanket was quite thin.

My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, and since the hotel was fully booked, I didn’t get the twin room I had reserved. However, they were quick to accommodate my family by adding an extra bed for the kids, which made the situation more manageable.
Overall, the location, amenities, and helpful staff make this hotel a solid choice for airport travelers. With a little improvement in managing bookings, it would be even better.

MMileKruminaThe hotel has a beautiful pool and nice entrance. The people are kind and attentive. The room is basic and kind of dark as if you open the curtains people can see you from outside. Every room has air conditioning and a water heater which was really good. The bed was comfortable and the room had a fridge. You need to take a tuk tuk (150 pesos per ride) to go anywhere but that was fine with me. What I really disliked is the price of the food. It was the most expensive menu I’ve seen in the Philippines for normal food, not even fancy and really average taste. Just because of this I’d not stay here again. But overall, the rooms are okay.

To be honest, I was a bit worried at first because I had read a review saying the resort wasn’t nice and had many issues, especially due to ongoing renovations. But when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised—it was actually very nice!
The resort was clean, the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The food was great—yes, it was a bit pricey because of the added VAT and service charge, but it was delicious, so it was worth it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! 😊

We recently stayed at Microtel Hotel, booking two rooms, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
The rooms were outdated, with dim lighting that made it hard to see. The shower controls were rusted, and even the tissue holders showed significant wear. We were surprised to find that there’s no in-house restaurant, and the breakfast offered was not worth the price.
Despite having a small number of guests, the breakfast options were limited to eggs, sausage, tocino, bread, rice, fruit slices, coffee, and juice. It took a long time for the staff to refill these items, and they weren’t even heated properly. To add to our frustration, my nephew, who is in grade 5, was charged as an adult because they don’t have a child rate.
The towels were also outdated, which contributed to the overall feeling of neglect in terms of maintenance.
On a positive note, the staff were welcoming and friendly, which was appreciated. The beach in front of the resort was beautiful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the lack of proper amenities and upkeep.
Overall, we left feeling that Microtel Hotel needs significant improvements to meet basic hospitality standards.
